Goop Beauty Review

Have you heard? goop is now available in Canada?

Goop was established in 2008 and is a well-rounded brand where you can shop, read and learn about all things related to lifestyle and wellness. You can even find recipes, travel guides, and podcasts – goop pretty much has it all. The shop carries a variety of products from Beauty, Clothing, Books, Accessories, Jewelry, Wellness, and more. As a blogger, I’m inspired by the company and that’s definitely how I would love my brand to become one day. I am TRULY AMAZED!! The brand has now made its way into Canada and I’m excited to get my hands on its products.

In this post, I’ll be reviewing a couple of beauty products that I’ve been using for the past few weeks:

1. EXFOLIATING INSTANT FACIAL
2. G.TOX 5 SALT DETOX BODY SCRUB

If you’ve read any of my previous posts and reviews, you’ll know that I’m a big fan of beauty products and I especially love getting my hands on organic beauty products. I always check labels before buying them and as much as possible try to avoid ones with toxic ingredients.

goop Exfoliating Instant Facial

The goop by Juice Beauty Exfoliating Instant Facial is a MUST HAVE in your skincare line. Made with USDA-certified organic ingredients, with approximately 86 percent total organic content, and contains natural alpha and beta hydroxy acids. All that packed into 1 jar means, it’ll leave your skin glowing, smoother, and brighter. Use it after cleansing and apply for 3 minutes then massage in a circular motion then rinse.

After the first use, I immediately noticed the difference and my skin looked less dull and sallow. It was brighter and smoother, and my skin smelled fantastic! It has a very fresh scent, almost like Vitamin C. I’ve used drugstore exfoliating products before that were too rough and harsh on my skin, so I’m glad this exfoliating instant facial wasn’t like that. Its plant-based exfoliating beads are gentle on your skin and can be used 2-3 times per week. This is an active product with 6 acids which makes it really great for exfoliation to help slough away dead skin cells. Because it contains AHAs (alpha hydroxy acids), extra sun protection is required, and make sure to do a skin test to check for sensitivities before use.

G.Tox 5 Salt Detox Body Scrub

Next up is the G.Tox 5 Salt Detox Body Scrub. Now that it’s summer, skin exposure is very likely. After covering it up during the winter months, we all want our skin to look smooth and glowing when wearing those beautiful summer dresses and bikinis. What you need is a really good scrub that will exfoliate your skin and keep it moisturized. This detox body scrub is made of mineral-rich salts (Himalayan pink salt, Dead Sea salt, Celtic sea salt, New Zealand solar salt, and Epsom salt) and three ultra-moisturizing oils (cold-pressed moringa, pure unfiltered rose hip, and organic extra virgin olive oils).

You are going to love the smell of this! Your bathroom will smell like you just stepped out of a spa. I’ve been using this at least twice a week and it’s helped make my skin smoother. I highly recommend using it also before shaving. It helps to scrub off the top dead layer of skin, which helps remove ingrown hair so you can get a closer better shave. I prefer to use this after cleansing my skin to make sure the oils stay intact. The detox body scrub is very moisturizing and the plus side is you don’t even need to use creams or lotions after you shower. The oils will keep your skin moisturized, so you can skip that extra step in your skincare routine. I love that I can just shower, use this scrub, dry up and throw on my clothes and my skin still feels smooth.

True story I’d like to share. Recently I had an appointment with a registered massage therapist for a deep tissue massage. She was complimenting me on my skin and was asking me how I’ve been able to keep my skin so smooth like a baby and the fact that I had no wrinkles in my late 30s. I told her, great skincare and having a routine is what’s been working for me. I’m far from perfect, but I truly believe that the best thing you can do for yourself is to take great care of your skin. Sure we’ll all age, but I’d rather have the wrinkles come later than sooner. While you still can, take good care of it now and make sure you’re using products that not only work for your skin but are also made of healthy products too.

Start now because tomorrow is a day too late!

You need to get your hands on these amazing exfoliating products and start taking care of your skin now. I’m looking forward to also trying the goop Discovery Set which includes a day moisturizer, night cream, face oil, and the exfoliating instant facial. These will be perfect for everyday use! And if you haven’t already done so, go visit the goop website and check out all the other amazing products, as well as articles that I’m sure you can learn from. There are definitely a lot of takeaways for me there, I’m so inspired by all the great content, aren’t you? What’s your skincare routine? I would love to get your tips, so do comment below. Until the next post, enjoy lovelies!

Goop sounds like a very useful platform. It seems to have the entire spectrum ranging from products to recipes to travel guides. Need to check out if it is available in our region.

I think I will benefit from these products too, because I rarely use body scrub. I love the packaging and that the product can be actually seen outside.
