Last week I attended a special art viewing for Kerry James Marshall: Collective Works Exhibit at the Rennie Museum in Vancouver. Check out the photos below to see some of his work that can be found at the museum.
Kerry Marshall’s work represents black people shown in various everyday activities and scenes that are usually captured or shown with white people. The art pieces are thought-provoking and highlights African-American culture as it should be seen without the stereotype.
The exhibition is open from June 2 to November 3, 2018. Admission is free via a guided tour that requires pre-booking online at www.renniemuseum.org.
