The Instagram Algorithm is constantly changing making it difficult for most users to be seen by their target audience, especially for businesses, bloggers, and digital creators. The algorithm is a system or code created by Instagram which decides what posts are seen and when on your Instagram feed.
When I first started blogging about 8 years ago, Instagram posts would show up chronologically, and eventually, most people figured out the best time to post based on user habits. Unfortunately, Instagram decided to change that and showed posts that it ‘thinks’ would be of most interest to you based on your likes and searches.
It’s made it impossible to figure out the best way to get your content seen and most times I’ve had to manually search for new posts from accounts I already follow just so I can see if they’ve posted anything new. It’s been so frustrating and I wish Instagram would just go back to chronological order.
Engagement is extremely important and is what ultimately gets your posts seen by many users. The most engaging posts by way of likes, comments, and saves give you a better chance of being shown on your subscribers’ feeds. So, make sure you’re highly engaged with your favorite accounts, it helps them out a lot!

Instagram allows you to add up to 30 hashtags for each post so I recommend you take advantage of it. Depending on what you’re posting, there are different hashtags you can use and it’s good to change them up from time to time.
